Zenithink ZT-180 0818 Firmware

August 22nd, 2010

Here is the latest 0818 update. It includes Burn Tool exe, USB Drivers, Firmware and Step by Step instructions.

Changelog:

  • Improved g-sensor support
  • Improved rmvb video support
  • Added adb function via OTG

Note: Users are experiencing smoother scrolling with this update however there are reports of occasional lockups. It’s definitely worth the update though. I have had several app freezes but the improved g-sensor and scrolling make up for it.

Note 2: I am getting wifi dropouts every 15min or so. To connect again I need to turn wifi off then back on. Can anyone else report on this?

Tip: If you want to share files between your Tablet and PC give Dropbox a go. It’s available for free and works flawlessly on the ZT180 – http://www.freewarelovers.com/android/app/dropbox

Great that you post these drivers, and all the help and all!
Looking forward to the next driver update, think the wifi problem is very irritating.
Thanks, keep up the good work. :)

Thanks for this post. I was able to update my 0803 ZT-180 to 0818 using your files. I just wish this thing had the Android Market. I purchased a 7″ Gpad G10 at the same time as as this 10.2″ ZT-180, and after using both, I think the ZT-180 is a more “comfortable” device (the G10′s video performance is better). But the Gpad G10 has the Android Market and the ZT-180 doesn’t. :(

Nice work :) I got it working too by following rpmccormick’s guide. He has just released RPM Script v0.9. If anyone needs help getting it working, let me know.

Having issues getting the USB drivers installed for the tablet. I point to .ini file, but xp says not recognized. Does any have a quick fix. At this point without the drivers install, I am dead in the water….

    Thanks for any support.

I can get the drivers loaded, and the burn tool V07.2 running, confirm the settings and then start the program, I get a few comments at the screen bottom – and then nothing… the program and Zenithink just idle along, and then after a few minutes the Zenithink turns on. ( Before starting the above programs, after connecting the mini usb leads and after pushing the round front button and holding down and then the power on button the blue light comes on, is this correct )
The machine is one of the very first available.
    Thanks for any comments.

@Tony That happened to me also. Delete the burn ini file and then do the setup again.

    @Beau
I just recently bought the 10.2″ ZT-180 and I want to have the Android market on it, but I just can’t understand the instructions. Can you help?
