How to flash new firmware on Zenithink ZT-180
Step 1: Download the latest firmware (Check my other posts for the Android fw)
Step 2: With the tablet turned off, connect it to your computer using the mini-USB port. (also make sure you have power connected!)
Step 3: On the tablet, hold down the Menu button and then press the Power button. You will now see a Found New Hardware popup on your computer. From the New Hardware screen you need to locate the USB driver which is located in my latest firmware download.
Note: If the device fails to install, go to device manager, click on Unknown Device, click on reinstall drivers, browse to where the USB drivers are and reinstall them.
Note 2: These drivers will only work on 32bit systems.
Step 4: Once the USB drivers are install correctly, open burntool_v07.2.exe. The first device should now be lit up green.
Step 5: Click on Settings in the menu and you will see a box like in the image below. In the boxes outlined in red, select u-boot.img, zImage_cui, system.img, userdata.img. When done, click on Save button below (The one on the left).
Step 6: Click on Start on the top left and it will start flashing your tablet with the new firmware. The status bar will load to 100% 4 times (Takes between 1-2 minutes). Once its complete it will say UpdatePipeState: 0x600000f 6 at the bottom.
Step 7: Turn off your tablet by holding the Power button down for 10 seconds. Now Press the Power button to turn back on.

Hi All,
I have tried whatever mentioned here but with no luck !! the burn-tool application seems to be doing something but suddenly the ePad logo comes and the update stop.
Any help please..
I need a password when i hit the settings bar in burntool.
Somebody?
Password should work :\ I’ll check and see what’s going on
Hi Beau
Password should work? So, you need a password?
Yes, mine does the same thing. It loads uboot then resets to the epad logo, then to ‘android’ and hangs.
The device was working, but had been turned off for about 3 weeks, now this.
How do I reflash if my epad is frozen???????
@sandyjohnsontody Hold the power button in to turn off, then try to reflash it. See how that goes
Drivers don’t work for Vista. At all.
Hello there
I’ve just updated my zt to 1204. Apparently, it goes right but there’s a
small fake: the screen is in red while switching up and while on transitions.
I’d like some of you told me what to do.
I’ve flashed my zt to 1030 successfully, but now I’m trying to update to the latest 1204. I’ve downloaded and extracted the files to a single folder. I’ve renamed the zimage file to “zimage”. Once I connect and power up the zt, the green box lights, but the upload constantly fails. Is anyone having to do anything additional to the install that’s not listed in the instructions?
my zt180 freeze, showing “LAUNCHER PRO(PROCESS ANDROID.PROCESS.ACORE)HAS STOPPED UNEXPECTEDLY”, What to do to set right?
can someone please give me the password for the burn tool please…
password is Zenithink but the Burntool v07.2 should not ask for a password… I think you have the wrong burntool.
Hi,
I have carried out the above instructions.
When the Burntool says 100% I get a message on the epad saying ENTER DOWNLOADING. The epad still wont load any further than the Android logo.
Any help would be great!
Thanks
What files do I select in the burntool and which files are the correct ones for vers 1030 or 1204? I don’t see a u-boot.img, zImage_cui, system.img, or userdate.img in the downloaded packages. HeLp
The Password is zenithink……
ps i find its easier to burn via TF (micro sd)if you have the Zenithink (epad) zt-180 512mb, 4g tablet.
and find the original firmware at zenithink.com!!!!
WERE DO I DOWNLOAD burntool_v07.2.exe ? ALL I SEE IS .rar INSTEAD OF .exe
I’m having trouble with my ZT180 and I’m hoping that a firmware update would resolve but don’t know where to get the firmware from. I would be grateful for any help
Thank you
Joe
