Site Update

October 23rd, 2010

Sorry for the lack of updates folks! I have been in LA/Vegas on my Honeymoon. I’ll be back in a few days and will post all new info and downloads :)

I have decided not to post any of the old 09xx firmware and will go straight to 10xx updates. If you require the last 09xx firmware (0926), you can find it here

Quick Guide for installing RPMScript 1.2

September 2nd, 2010

Here are some easy steps for installing rpmccormick’s RPMScript 1.2 on fw 0827. If you also want to get the Market working, first you will need to follow this guide for getting an AndroidID.

Step 1: Install and run UniversalAndroot (For detailed steps see Step 1 of Easy Root & txPower fix)

Step 2: Install adbWireless

Step 3: Ensure your wifi is connected and run adbWireless

Note: When adbWireless starts it will look like its enabled, it’s not. Make sure you turn it off by pressing the red button and then turn it back on by pressing the green button. It will now display the tablets IP address and port number. (eg. 192.168.x.x:5555)

How to flash new firmware on Zenithink ZT-180

September 2nd, 2010

Step 1: Download the latest firmware (Check my other posts for the Android fw)

Step 2: With the tablet turned off, connect it to your computer using the mini-USB port. (also make sure you have power connected!)

Step 3: On the tablet, hold down the Menu button and then press the Power button. You will now see a Found New Hardware popup on your computer. From the New Hardware screen you need to locate the USB driver which is located in my latest firmware download.

Note: If the device fails to install, go to device manager, click on Unknown Device, click on reinstall drivers, browse to where the USB drivers are and reinstall them.

Note 2: These drivers will only work on 32bit systems.

CyanogenMod-6 for Nexus One (6.0.0-N1)

August 31st, 2010

Finally a stable release of CM6 has been released! Instructions for first time flashers or current CM-users as well as download links are available direct from the Cyanogen forums.

So far, this release has been very stable for me with no FC’s. There are a heap of new UI options plus system enhancements such as true 720P encoding and FLAC playback support. See the complete changelog here

On a side note, I’m not sure if this is a problem with 6.0.0-N1 but I flashed Wildmonks latest 2.6.35.4_SVS-950mV_CFS_AXI_720p_1113MHz_082710 kernel and had major problems with boot and had to do a nandroid restore. I will have a look into this and try flashing again.
